Liz Klohmann, RYT 200

I have always been active and involved in sports and movement. I was introduced to Pilates after a fall, and I used it to regain strength and mobility. I fell in love with the exercises, the mind-body connection, and the focus on movement details and anatomy. It complemented other forms of exercise I was doing, and it made me feel good! I received my training in Mat Pilates locally with the PATTI program at Vellidan (formally known as The Pilates Room & Antigravity Studio) in 2013.My introduction to Yoga was also for physical reasons. I took my first yoga class at Mighty Yoga to compliment the intense triathlon training I was doing. I loved the challenge of a class that utilized and developed my strength, made me sweat, and stretched my tight muscles.

Initially, I was drawn to yoga for the physical benefits. I soon realized that yoga was benefiting other areas of my life. I began to crave yoga. As a caretaker and a mom, with a full time career life felt busy, stressful and full! Classes became a time when I stepped on my mat and was able to focus solely on my mind and body. I left feeling refreshed, energized and content.

Today my yoga practice provides me with a balance of physical movement, a path to explore my spirituality and a way to cultivate a sense of peace and calmness. Taking the Mighty Yoga Teacher Training had been a goal of mine for many years. I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2023, and in 2024 completed a Chair Yoga Teacher Training with Inspire Movement. I am a registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance.

Today, I am excited to share Pilates and Yoga with you as movement practices that nourish our bodies physically, fuel our minds and bring peace and calm to our busy lives. I look forward to meeting you on your mat.
